Élie Pavil arrived in France in 1892 from his home Black Sea of Odessa, Ukraine .
already carry with them some works at home, Pavil entered to 'Académie Julian where his teacher William Bouguereau , figurative painter of great renown .
Pavil was greatly influenced by the style of his teacher, but differs from that soon acquire a knowledge of Impressionist Renoir, Monet and Sisley.
He moved later in Morocco, on the coast of North Africa where painted a large number of landscapes and scenes of everyday life of Mediterranean .
